Director of Spring Musical (PART TIME - January 2022 to May 2022)

SJPII Academy is currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate to direct the Spring Musical Production (planned for April 2022).  Qualifications include a background in theater and experience directing students to put on shows for public performance. Experience/training in choreography and dance is a plus!  The candidate will, with support from full-time school staff, generate a rehearsal schedule for show, work with student leadership and hold auditions, cast show, direct day-to-day rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and evening performances on the weekend of April 22-23 (tentatively).  Please direct all inquiries to Mr. Michael Scaramuzzo, Assistant Principal for Student Life (

Performing Arts Teacher (FULL TIME - beginning August 2022)

Saint John Paul II Academy is seeking an experienced, full-time Performing Arts teacher for the 2022-2023 school year.  Applicant must be committed to the ministry, philosophy, and goals of Catholic education; have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in performing arts, music or related field; possess a valid Florida Department of Education Professional Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in Drama (grades 6-12), Music or Dance (grades K-12) or related field; and demonstrate proficiency in instructional technology. A Master's degree, teaching experience in high school performing arts and experience in the production of high school plays/musicals are preferred.Familiarity with standards-based assessment and classroom technology integration using iPads would be advantageous.
