The mission of the Learning Achievement Services Program is to foster independent learning for students with specific learning/language disabilities and/or Attention Deficit Disorder so that they can reach their potential in all academic areas. The LAS Program provides tools and strategies that stress organization; reading and writing techniques; comprehension skills; classroom performance skills; and test and study skills.

Students from all academic levels who have a documented language-based learning disability and/or Attention Deficit Disorder may be eligible for LAS Services. Documentation must be in the form of a psychoeducational evaluation administered by a Nationally Certified School Psychologist or by a Learning Disabilities Specialist. Freshmen and sophomore evaluations must be no more than two years old; junior and senior evaluations must be no more than three years old.

Enrollment in the Program is limited. Students are selected only after an inaterview with the Director and, ultimately, completing an enrollment contract after the Director program reviews each student's documentation determine both if the student requires and can benefit from LAS services as well as determining the proper level of service to be provided.

There are currently no fees for LAS enrollment, however SJPII reserves the right to implement a supplemental service fee for LAS enrollment after 1 January 2016.
